The creation of such an entertainment
edifice on the Bamenda landscape was certainly inspired by the fact that
Bamenda has often been described as the city of the future and by the fact that most people
think Bamenda is the third city in Cameroon. Given that there are certain
things that come with growth and size, positioning the entertainment business
should certainly have been one of them. Dreamland has been around for more than
twenty years and each time, the initiative has always striven to march its
actions and its look with its name.

is a place that is out of the ordinary. The artistry and color blend coupled
with the imaginative and creative nature of the spaces with the seats and
furniture all culminate in an unparalleled beauty. The brain behind such a
structure is certainly an admirer and maker of beauty. And the edifices that
stand at Fon Street and on Commercial Avenue in Bamenda are a reflection of the
inner beauty of such an individual.
Dreamland Cabaret and
Restaurant are a reflection of something that has been well done and by someone
who doesn’t believe in things been done partially but holistically, carrying
things right through.
It is no surprise that
entertainment in general and night entertainment in particular has been
reshaped by Dreamland Cabaret in Bamenda. The initiators of the projects
intimate that they started with the street lights since they were thinking
about the clients that would come to the place. They thought first about the
security and safety of clients and their vehicles. As a result, Fon Street is
gradually becoming the Rue De la Joie of
Bamenda. Such entertainment hubs in other parts of the country usually come
about as a windfall but in the case of Bamenda, it seemed to have been deliberately
crafted by the owners of Dreamland Cabaret.
Correspondingly the clientele
at Dreamland is growing as they keep receiving the best of treatment in Bamenda
and the Northwest Region of Cameroon. The idea at Dreamland is certainly to
keep its clients as long as it can. To do this, Dreamland gives the best thing
money can buy and making sure that such things can only be found at Dreamland
in Bamenda. Dreamland reflects the third position that Bamenda occupies in
Cameroon. It gives the facilities that come with being third and possibly
second.
Dreamland Restaurant cuts
across the board serving African and European dishes considering the fact that
Bamenda is a Cosmopolitan City with many guests coming into town wanting to
feel at home away from home. That’s why the restaurant offers African dishes as
well as oriental food in a clean environment. A good restaurant should be clean
and that should be seen and felt and this is true of Dreamland Cabaret.
According to this
entrepreneur, Dreamland has contributed positively to the growth of the Tourism
Industry in Cameroon and the Northwest Region specifically. “Dreamland is the
first restaurant in Bamenda and behind this restaurant many others have
sprouted up.”
